At minimum, a reputable safety panel should screen for yeast and mold counts, common pathogenic bacteria, and mycotoxins like aflatoxins — the categories most likely to show up in improperly dried or stored solventless concentrates.
Storage and Shelf Life: Keeping Hash Safe After It's Pressed
Safety practices don't end when hash goes in the jar. Temperature swings, humidity, and light exposure all affect both terpene stability and microbial risk over time. Cold, dark, stable storage — and jars that get burped or checked periodically rather than sealed and forgotten — go a long way toward keeping a clean batch clean through its entire shelf life.
